Of course I will be. Breakfast time snooker around 7am for first session. Got my tickets for the 2027 Tour Championship in Manchester recently.

Putting a fire under this team just means they're cooked.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 9:00 pmJP is now 0-8 after claiming the Mariners need to show up "with a fire under our asses."
What a loser.
Too much low upside talent. No star power.
If we were women, we'd call them a bunch of basic bitches.

Whelp - that about does it.
Screw going after a reliever and right handed at bat. This team would be pissing away decent talent to acquire a couple of guys they will simply run into the dirt. This is not a championship team - not even close. Hope you all enjoyed the fruits of our decade-long rebuild - one season in 25 years when we dipped our toes in the post season pool.
In the next week, the M's should jettison everything that isn't bolted down for a boatload of prospects. Tear it down to the absolute studs. Get rid of everyone except Cal, Young and Canzone (and our starters who have 2+ years of control) - and yes, I'm talking Julio. He has had his shot to lead this team, and he had turned into a league average CF who giggleshits around the dugout without a care in the world - he gets paid the same whether we win or lose.
Got rid of Dipoto. Trader Jerry is useless. He’s Trader Joe’s without the snacks — just endless circular trades of slightly different frozen cauliflower crust pizza that still somehow underwhelms. Recruit Matt Forman from the Guardians. Give him $250 MM and and free rein to do what he wants to with our prospects.
Dan Wilson’s entire managing style is “hope the other team fucks up.” Bold strategy. Terrible results. Fire him. Hire Alex Cora effective yesterday.
I know I have said all of this before, but the refrain is the same: we are unserious team populated by players who play with the urgency of a Tuesday morning staff meeting. The management couldn't win a game of rock-paper-scissors against an actual rock. As this trade deadline approaches, we need a totally fresh start for 2027, so let's get a head start by pulling in some decent talent rather than pissing away pitchers and prospects for a team that can't possibly make the post season. Fire sale. Everything goes. Let's pull a White Sox worthy turnaround, and let's start by getting rid of dead weight.

I watched live March madness at 6am about 15 years ago back when the Huskies were good and I gave a shit about college hoops...DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 9:16 pmWhen I was in Maui (Kihei) a couple years ago the Hawks were playing in Baltimore and the game started at 7:00 a.m. Not a particularly good place to have a sports bar.rockycola wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 9:09 pmHey, we're all part of the true blue fandumb.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 9:07 pm

I truly believe the only reason he didn't get fired during the all-star break was because of the 50-year anniversary celebration coming up next month honoring the 50 best Mariners in history, which Wilson will be a part of. If they fired him, it would make things very awkward indeed. Looks like we're stuck with him for the remainder of the season.
I guess it's time to start talking about who next year's manager should be. Knowing the Mariners, it will probably be another hire from within, the typical Dipoto puppet and yes man.
What we really should be talking about is who we would like to see as the next President and GM, and who they might bring in as manager. But as long as the Mariners are among the most profitable franchises in baseball, I doubt Dipshit is going anywhere.
Without a doubt, one of the most dysfunctional organizations in all of sports. I can't even watch the games any longer. The apathy has fully set in for me, something I thought I would never say as a lifelong fan from the very beginning of the franchise. I'm counting down the days till kickoff.
I actually hope the M's lose every game from here on out for the rest of the season. Maybe that would actually force some much needed and long overdue changes at the top. God I fucking hate this team.

It takes real talent and determination to turn a loyal fan base into such bitter skeptics.
It's about the only thing this useless franchise has accomplished in 20 years. So, yeah - there's that.

Same here, in 2012 we were in Waikiki, and I went to a sports bar at the same time to see the Redskins playing an important game in the lead up to the playoffs.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 9:16 pmWhen I was in Maui (Kihei) a couple years ago the Hawks were playing in Baltimore and the game started at 7:00 a.m. Not a particularly good place to have a sports bar.rockycola wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 9:09 pmHey, we're all part of the true blue fandumb.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 9:07 pm

Needless to say, I was the only goofball there.
