I love that song, my favorite CS&N song by far. Funny how those guys made great music while not getting along.
Re: OT: Great performances
If that song came out today, just the title would unleash a Tsunami of "offended people' and cries of racism. Girl you know it's true.
Re: OT: Great performances
Still love the Skynard vid with the Confederate flag. Wasn't that in SF??? LMAO. Imagine THAT today. ha

Before 'outrage' culture. I noticed it when Obama was in office - not blaming him - but that is when I first noticed the "new outrage every week" phenomenon. And look where we are now. I think society is correcting that, slowly, but it's been a dozen plus years of non stop outrage - 100% MANUFACTURED - a wild phenomenon whose flames have been completely fanned by 'media' for clicks and politicians for votes.
The saddest part is people not even realizing it - not looking inward as to why they are in a permanent state of outrage. This is not innate behavior - it's created and manufactured by people using it for their own gain.

I would add troll farms run by foreign governments. Their specific purpose is to divide us (Americans). To make us distrust and even hate people who have different opinions.auroraave wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2026 3:16 pmBefore 'outrage' culture. I always thought Southern Cross was Kenny Rogers.
Very similar voices. At least to me.
Yes, Hey, Hey What Can I do is another great Zep tune. Babe I'm Gonna Leave You is also a favorite.
Good call on that Scorpions tune. I also like this one... Can't Get Enough.
