Per 12th man rising:
Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe showed some signs of improvement, but not enough for him to be safe. While he looked more comfortable in the pocket at times and didn't resort to scrambling as his first instinct, a botched snap showed some of the same execution issues that plagued him in last year's preseason and in Alabama.

Expectations were higher for the second-year quarterback. Brian Fleury wants to see him prove that he can play quarterback before drawing up plays for him in special packages, and if he can't beat Drew Lock for the QB2 job, he simply may not have what it takes.

Milroe's sample size is far too small to draw an accurate conclusion. Going from the NCAA to the NFL - you have to be playing to adapt and grow into the game at this level - esspeciually at QB. 30 snaps isn't anywhere near enough to draw a conclusion. I do not know if he can/will be a quality starter, but he has intangibles that are highly sought after - if Seattle cuts him he'll be picked up immediately. Watching him run - that is just hard to defend. You put a robber on him and that takes someone away from coverage or pass rushing. There are glimpses - and no one is lighting it up with the third stringers in the first preaseason game without having significant reps. It's an interesting situation - a good one to have. There just is not enough sample size to really know at this point.
Sure no harm in keeping in on PS squad...

Milroe needs to trust his gut and run the ball. He is trying to prove he can live in the pocket. Not ready to give up, but the kid isn't ready to play meaningful NFL snaps. In the half or so of football he played for us, Sam Howell was literally the worst QB to play football in the modern era. It's not even close. I've never seen anyone as unprepared as he was that day he took over for Geno. Geno was supposed to be out a couple of weeks, he played the next week. Sam was that fucking bad. It cracks me up when people have tried to make excuses. I watched every snap of that game and that was the worst QB play I've seen in an NFL game, period, end of story. He was not only seeing ghosts, he was seeing tracers and having nightmares.
