Other than Bud Clark breaking his leg,

the second and third team defense looks aggressive and tuned up. I'm seeing Titan's back up offensive players turtling rather than take the hit.

Seattle back ups were punching Tennessee starters in the mouth for most of the first half. Lock looked good - ran the ball more effectively than Milroe lol (I missed the second half - intentionally). The injuries suck but the oline depth looked pretty solid. Poor officiating didn't help this game at all.

I can't get too upset about Milroe - 3rd string QB - I still agree with the pick - but it may not work out. JS has made en ough of these picks that have panned out that I find it a bit hypocritical to lament the ones that don't - there are ALWAYS going to be picks that don't pan out and surprise picks that do. That's life. Luckily we have a decent #2 QB already ion the roster.

The one thing I keep coming back to for this season - last year all the bounces went our way and we took home the lombardi - not sure we can repeat that luck factor again - that is just statistically very very hard to do. Bobo and Bud are losses but not insurmountable by any means.

I have to correct that: the 2nd team obviously played well, outscoring the Titans starters 16-3.

If nothing else you would assume Milroe would evolve into the number two qb going into year three. If that doesnt happen then it would be disappointing

MIlroe's competition has been a starter and played in the league for a few years now. Lock is pretty servicable. I think MIlroe's biggest obstacle is never getting onto the field for a full game with the starters - to have it all on his back - for a length of time to settle in and get comfortable. You have to play and it's probably better to play longer stretches and ideally with the first team. He may do that and still fail, but playing 1/2 of preseason games with back-ups - just is not the sample size to be graded on. ALso, Seattle is under no real pressure to develop him quickly. He is a baffling player. I don't understand why he isn't running his ass off, but he must beleive that will hurt his 'development - which is reasonable - but is also the wrong way of thinking as running is your biggest asset and really stresses defenses.

We'll trade him to cleveland where he'll be the starter in three weeks and somehow flourish
