If Boston Smith does anything for the Mariners then the Chisox got fleeced. Their fans have to be pissed right now.

They offset a chunk of his contract by taking on the reliever they traded for, Doimquez? Something like that

Castillo continues to kill the Mariners, he's already given up six runs to the Asstros in 3 1/3 innings today.

It was a chunk but much less than Castillo is owed. Good try on the name! :)

Smith ain't getting behind the dish here. The only open spot is LF so that's gonna be a battle between him & Arroyo. I would love to see what he can do behind the plate. We already have a backup in Pereda. Why the F would you wanna waste him behind the dish. Seriously who's running this fucking clown show.

White Sox didn't seem to have much trouble putting Castillo in the pen
"We talked to Luis," manager Will Venable said before Thursday night's 3-1 win over the Detroit Tigers. "The next opportunity for him will be coming out of the bullpen. So we'll look and see what that looks like exactly."

Yeah weird... seems they didn't give much credence to his supposed "leadership" did they Donn?

Seems they are willing to make moves that admit mistakes after all.....

I never said putting him in the BP would affect his leadership. You're the one that keeps connecting performance. I think Castillo cred as a leader wouldn't have been affected by going to the BP. I think there's any number of players that even if their production fades they are still viewed as someone held in esteem in the clubhouse.
