Bowers is a TE, not a WR. Not comparable.
True, but the game is crazy now a days. How about Ernest Jones last week breaking up that pass deep down the field? And it was only a few plays after some LB for Washington had run stride for strice with Price on a go route! The game is so different, the players are so different. Bowers is basically a WR that is big enough to play TE.
Yeah I guessing that writer of that headline knew that Bowers was a tight end and not a WR. Probably just referring to the level of production obviously.

I thought it was a compliment for JSN, the standard others are measured against. And Kubiak gets credit too, now he's got Bowers

More Bowers...terms of what he is, so far he's a WR, at least that's how he's being used. Which makes a difference terms of his value. Remember the deal with Graham wanting to be designated a WR
Bowers finished the game with 10 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown. Bowers was all over the field, in slot 39% of the snaps, out wide 39%, and inline 17%. While fans were wondering who the wide receiver was on the field, it was clear after Week 3 that it was Brock Bowers.

That was also on full display in the personnel usage. The Raiders had two tight ends on the field for 83% of the snaps. That means Michael Mayer was the traditional tight end while Bowers was out wide in the slot
I'm intrigued with following Kubiak's career. Remember discussing how they were gonna have to be patient with Kubiak. They couldn't just keep firing their HC. That doesn't seem to an issue these days. See how a tougher schedule goes. Their playoff odds have shot up

Anybody familiar with this.. 1975 as a publicly stunt Redskins owner George Allen proposed signing Andre the Giant. He couldn't really afford him, Andre made a lot more money wrestling than football players at the time. Anyway there's Andre holding the 6 foot 200 pound Joe Theismann in his arms like he's a child
