He won us a Super Bowl. Jesus. I think we can live with him another year or two.
Didn’t Nick Foles and Trent Dilfer win Super Bowls? Yeah, you win and then get no accountability?

Not a good comparison. Dilfer was below average to terrible his entire career and Foles had one good season (11 games in 2013) and a couple mediocre partial ones. Neither of them was a big reason why their team won a SB.

You neglected to mention Brad Johnson with the Bucs. Some QBs are paid to carry the team and win games, others are simply paid to not lose them.

Brad Johnson was a reliable above average starting QB with a 17 year career. I think Darnold has more of an upside but also a lower floor than him. I don't see the problem in letting him play out his contract and if he continues to struggle they can either re-sign him on a cap-friendly deal or move on. The bottom line though is that until JS fixes the O line no QB is going to succeed here.

They need to invest in getting a good center for one. And, unfortunately, it appears Lucas is faltering (don't know if it's the knee issue or what) and may need to be replaced. Cross and Zabel are okay for the next couple years. And hopefully between the 3 RGs they currently have one of them will work out (still not sold on Bradford being improved).

Wasn't this your position on Geno as well? How'd that turn out?

John spent 2 firsts, a 3rd, a 4th and an UDFA on the line. So a lot of capital. And a third as a backup

The issue is not signing Walker when you had money cost a first that could have been used to replace Riq or add to the oline.

Choosing not to sign Walker is causing a cascade of other issues.

The Oline was good enough to win them a SB last season, what happened? It was crap under Grubb, got good under Kubiak and now is crap again. I think you need to get past replacing talent and look at the coaching. They lost Kubiak as well as Rick Dennison and Andrew Janocko this season. Kubiak is the Raiders HC, Dennison is the Oline coach and Jonocko their OC, this is the area the seahawks are hurting now. I know coaches are considered a dime a dozen here, I don't really agree

here is Brian Nemhauser on the Oline, I think they have gotten away from how they operated last season, gotten away from that success
