Believe it or not, this BLATANT LIE is what is being taught to my grand daughter who is in the 7th grade. They "qualify" this statement by saying "among industrialized nations"..which is just their way to filter out the 55 some odd nations that rank above us..some rank several orders of magnitude above the USA.
Some nations would also tend to "under report" their murder stats..namely the African nations with so many still living in the bush in a state of constant war.

The source that the public school uses has the USA murder rate at 5.3 per 100,000. If true, then this means that in our nation of 329 Million we would have 17,437 murders. I double checked this claim by looking at FBI Table 43A and the actual murder count is 8957. This number does not vary much year after year..it certainly did not double the year that the school published their claim.
If my math is correct 8957 divided into 329M leaves us with 2.7 murders per 100,000. A far cry from the Public School System's claim that we live in the most murderous "industrialized society".

The Kids are also being taught by the media [and maybe by the schools?] that our public schools all across the USA are "War Zones" where you have a very good chance of getting shot..
The way to disarm ANY society in the most voluntary way is to raise a generation or two of effeminate wusses who never spent a single day of their pathetic childhoods playing outdoors [forget about hunting and fishing.!] Then of course use the MASS MEDIA that you own 95% of to teach the public that their society would be so much more safe if everyone turned in their guns.

If you could wave a magic wand to make just 1/8 of our population go back to their native land you would eliminate HALF of all the murder in the USA. Last time I checked Table 43A was not available via the home page at the FBI / DOJ. To get to this Table 43A I've had to do a direct search for it. In other words I needed to know in advance that this Table 43A exists in order see the truth about interracial crime.

So..the truth really is...if you avoid the 20 or so worst Urban Congos in the USA...the rest of our nation is exceedingly safe.
