I'm surprised Rapinoe isn't listed as a featured speaker, she would be the darling of the DNC. And she's way too important to the cause to be relegated to the Cortez/Madonna group shriek, she should be a featured speaker. Her 50 words with five f-bombs would be right up there with "I Have A Dream".

What was your MOS...?DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 7:05 amI had my boots in the sand and will judge him. According to his fellow Seals who turned him in, among other things he knifed to death a wounded teenage combatant and then posed with the body. And this wasn't to protect his troops, it was to make himself feel good. We're skilled fighters and representatives of America out there, not Muslim whackos or Richard Ramirez.
I ask myself what if the teen had just blown up my best friend or tortured him to death and I caught him laughing about it...? Would I snap.....or would I FUCKING snap and go totally Ape Shit on the worthless POS...?
I read the soldier's Wikipedia biography to see what he was charged with and it does look like he was a nut job going in.

I was 12 Charlie. Bailey Bridge Crewman. I used to make about $100 a weekend in the late 80s.

My MOS was embarkation/logistics. Marine Corps. In the Gulf War I also made several CH-53 flights as door gunner but never had to pull the trigger. I did get a first hand look at The Highway Of Death and that was more than enough for me. There probably were civilians in that convoy and I'll always wonder if it was necessary to bomb them. While it might well have been, I do know what Gallagher did was wrong and he got away with it. You want to have the utmost pride in your service but crap like that and what the Army did to Pat Tillman can put a real damper on it.Moe Gibbs wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 6:10 pmWhat was your MOS...?DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 7:05 amI had my boots in the sand and will judge him. I've heard that firing from out the side of a moving platform is tricky because you have to at times aim behind the target. In a copter with it's ability to go forward and backward you'd need to have so much practice time. I would guess at least a full day of training and a 1000 rounds in all sorts of scenarios to become proficient.
I wonder why Trump would pardon this soldier. I'd like to hear Trump's side of the story as to why.

Wasn't it proven in court that he didn't stab the ISIS fighter?DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 7:05 amI had my boots in the sand and will judge him. I'm pretty sure he was referring to the Confederate statue debate. The MSM of course ran with it.D-train wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 12:24 pmUnfortunate that Trump didn't just say there are very bad people on both sides of the Charlottesville incident.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 8:51 pmThe GOP is going to have a really hard time topping the Dems, but I've got a few suggestions:
Have Ted Nugent not only perform the National Anthem (as President Trump fidgets around) but also give a rousing speech about overcoming crapping your pants to dodge the draft and still becoming a true American.
Group tweet to Alec Baldwin telling him he's not funny and he deserves to hang.
Group tweet to Mitt Romney telling him he's a traitor and he deserves to hang.
Unbiased documentary narrated by Rush Limbaugh about the very fine people on both sides of the Charlottesville incident.
Group tweet to all non-white government officials telling them to go back to where they came from. And that they deserve to hang.
Group tweet to Megan Rapinoe telling her she deserves to hang. Just because.
To cap off the convention have Trump present the Congressional Medal Of Honor to Eddie Gallagher.

60 minutes did a piece on it a while ago. Sounds like he was a hard-ass on the men in his unit, calling them cowards at one point. Obviously, he wasn't a popular guy, but from what I have heard, posing in photos with dead enemy combatants isn't that uncommon. That doesn't make it acceptable, but given what these soldiers have to deal with and witness when battling these sadistic monsters i don't think it worthy of jail time.
Re: DNC CONVENTION AGENDA
Sibelius..this is what I expected to hear. I really don't think trump would stick his neck out here and pardon this soldier without hearing what he thinks is the whole story. I also don't begrudge a guy who has witnessed his beloved friends getting killed a few "trophy shots".
There were way too many cases of our soldiers getting killed and our only answer to that was to send other soldiers out with Hefty Trash Bags to pick up the body parts, then return to base without 1 single shot fired in return.

No, whether he did or didn't was pretty much unprovable. It came down to the testimony against him and the jury decided it wasn't enough.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 10:56 pmWasn't it proven in court that he didn't stab the ISIS fighter?
