My Guess is the Oline will be Brown at LT, Best of the Scrubs at LG, Finney at C, Fluker at G, Shell at RT.
Guessing that line will be ranked in the low 20s in the NFL.
I am betting we add a couple of lineman through the draft.

Regardless of who or what we draft we are either going to have mediocre at best starters or we over paid for backups. That is indisputable.

I don't think its as fucked up as all that, they have starters and they have depth. Don't underestimate depth, depth actually is pretty important to a football team. I think the Hawk depth was exposed last season. Yeah, they could be more oriented to depth with their signings than starters but i don't think that is such a bad thing. I think they will draft linemen but not as a starter, someone to develop, like they have Jones who I think could start at guard. They play Shell at tackle this season and draft a future right tackle, that to me is how they will go about it

The depth we had last year was young, and gained experience. I guess we are ready to give up on Haynes and Jones because they paid four scrubs. One of which didn’t even play a down last year and didn’t start one game the year before. Depth?

We needed talent. I remember adding guys like Jamarcus a Webb in years prior. Depth isn’t what we need.

exactly, it was young and gained experience. I don't think they are giving up on Jones, I think he could be a starter, that is why you would add more depth behind him

They needed to pay a free agent for that? And they needed to pay four of them? Seems like a waste of money to me. Most of what I read has RT and either LG or Center filled by one of the 4 we signed and Jones backing up Brown. That leaves Pocic or Haynes for one spot, and only if we don’t draft someone better.

Obviously that could change, since I actually think at most one of them starts, and that is only because they want to groom Jones at LT, so they will start Shell at RT. But four FA signings on the line was a bit much before the draft. The only thing I can think is they think the potential of this virus shortening everything didn’t leave them time to get a rookie ready for the season. God knows Pete now believes rookies need like eight months of seasoning before they are ready, if then.

i would have to go through the signings more closely in terms of what it costs to cut some before the season. I do think JS knows what he is doing in that respect. I was thinking Jones at guard but you are correct, it could be tackle. I think if Britt proves to be healthy they could bring him back at center. You have a healthy Britt, Brown, Jones, I think you have some talent there. Its not all pro but its not a five alarm fire, its okay. They draft a lineman to develop. They need to address the dline, the off season is not over

But the addition of four veterans means Seattle now has 15 offensive linemen
PC must think of O linemen how JD thinks of Relief pitcher. Sign a few hundred off the scrap heap and a few are bound to be good, right?

yeah, they have a collection of them, they have some young ones, some veterans, they probably draft a couple more. I really did not envision them signing a high priced FA lineman
