Rossini says Hawks not that interested in Clowney. They must be higher on the talent in the draft than most of the fans and pundits . It's just bizarre.

Peter King is predicting that the Seahawks will sign Everson Griffin or Jadeveon Clowney in the next week or so. We'll see 👀

LOL; loving this “no pass rushers at all” strategy....

Story notes Vikings and Griffen may not have each closed the door on Griffen remaining in Minnesota. https://twitter.com/christomasson/statu ... 5994106882

Would be nice. Not sure he is still going to be on the board when we pick...even if we don't trade down.

DE is extremely thin this year. Plus there's a HUGE drop off around 38-46....then Boom, nothing!

Not really sure how Pete and John are gonna address this one.

What if it's not thin at DE? What if the draft "experts" are completely wrong about this draft class . That would explain why the Hawks are so ho hum about addressing it in FA. They really didn't pursue anyone.

Just in my experience from the draft simulator, I feel there are 8 DEs in the top 112 I like. If you include OLB, there are several pass rushers in the top 150 or 160 that I like.

https://ftw.usatoday.com/2020/04/2020-n ... ge-rushers

I wish that ranking would have gone more than top 10...but of those ten, they only list five that the draft simulator has listed as DEs. There are several pass rushers, just depends on how you define it. I like the DE from Boise St, and this list has him 8th.

See this is where trading up a few spots makes sense...

I will tell you this, running a few of those mocks will give you a new found respect for GMs. We say things like "just trade up" or "just trade down". Someone else has to want to as well. It is really pretty amazing how many times Schneider is able to accomplish that. I posted a few mocks in that Danny O'Neill thread yesterday, because I tried to use the trade down philosophy. I was able to add several picks, and move down in spots were there were a lot of guys I wanted, so I didn't mind. It doesn't always work out.

All it takes is for a few GMs to think as highly of Gross-Matos as we do, and refuse to budge off the spot. On that note, it also only takes one or two GMs to pass on a position many thought they wanted and for a player at that position to be taken for a highly rated guy to fall. See Rodgers, Aaron...Smith, Alex.
