Baseball reference is running a season long game and they have the M's in 2nd place....albeit with Jonathen Lucroy being the catcher and hitting .320....they are like 58-40 only 2.5 behind Oakland. So that takes my initial pessimism and flops it around.....31 is my number

You can always sell the season short, and assume it will self-destruct due to a combination of key players opting out and other roster members being diagnosed positive.
