The Crawford for Segura trade is looking really good right now with Crawford showing he can hit and defend in the MLB. He may come close to matching Segura in WAR this year as the season progresses despite missing 2 months early in AAA and a few weeks with an ankle injury. .5 WAR in 87 AB, Segura has 1.1 in 260 AB.

I couldn't fathom the backlash on that trade. As I pointed out Crawford had a better Ops last year then Segura did in the second half

The game is not that important either way in the grand scheme of things. What is important just got torpedoed. Leake entered with 2.1 BWAR 95+ innings of work 104 ERA+(4.14) resume. And he was heating up. He now has a 4.5 ERA which does not look good. He is still pretty much the same guy but he really was pretty appealing to a cash strapped group that just needed extra wins in season to claim their post season.
