And Bama slaughters Ohio State in the championship. What it must be like to EXPECT to go undefeated every year.

How many more years, or decades, is it going to be Alabama, Clemson, Ohio St in the playoff along with the next best team from a power conference that has little to no chance of winning? At some point, the rest of the nation will just stop caring.

At some point? I think plenty already have. I watched three plays of that game. Funny, Sark called back to back screen pass to the back....real screen passes, not that sideways bullshit, but a pass over the head of the D lineman to a back with O Lineman in front of him. Called two in a row, which is two more than Schotty called all year. It softened the defense and the next pass was a long TD to Bama's star receiver. You mean there are ways to call plays that slow down a rush AND bring the defense up to allow you to work downfield? I thought that all you do is call straight drop backs and ask your QB to pat the ball hoping someone comes open deep?Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 11:30 amHow many more years, or decades, is it going to be Alabama, Clemson, Ohio St in the playoff along with the next best team from a power conference that has little to no chance of winning? I remember we had one text book old school student body screen pass that worked to perfection for a TD very early this season. I guess it worked too well to try it again.Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 2:47 pmAt some point? I think plenty already have. I watched three plays of that game. Carson caught a lot of passes early in the season. You know, when we scored over 30 per game and started out 5 and 0. They just weren’t comfortable winning that way. Can’t make that shit up!

We will see. I am so tired of watching my favorite teams do things that make no sense. You have grampa Pete deciding he isn’t comfortable with a 5 and 0 start and scrapping the offense that was setting records, and you have Jimmy Lake playing 10 defensive backs against power run teams because we are DB U and that is what we do!

Did you notice all the QBs from those top teams are from the West? Someone needs to figure out how to keep these kids home. I sure hope Huard is the real deal, and since having talent on the bench with the new transfer rules is impossible, I sure hope he stays healthy!
