I don't think it is a known fact at all. "People have been saying" this but the COVID deaths being reported do have COVID as cause of death. Just because there were co-morbidities doesn't mean that the person didn't die of COVID. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/fac ... 681686002/D-train wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 3:50 pmIt is a known fact that anyone that dies while being Covid positive is considered a Covid death regardless of COD. Guessing they might suddenly reconsider and revise that policy this year.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 3:36 pmdoubts about it? in what way? I think its a deadly disease. My concern has never been based strictly on death rates, it has to do with health care capacity...You think the CDC is under someone's control, being manipulated to put out false information in order to manipulate political thought? How would that work exactly?
I know there are people (I think you are one of them, dt, and sorry if I am wrong) who have said things to the effect of "he/she had COVID but would have died soon from cancer, or COPD, etc.") I disagree with that underlying argument. It's sort of like saying that if I punch someone in the head and he dies from a burst brain aneurysm, I can defend myself against a manslaughter charge by arguing that his aneurysm would have burst in the next week or month anyway.
