Are the Indians and Cubs even trying to win??

Nice work Dipoto. 🤦‍♂️ How much farther did they need to fall than 1 year under 10 mil??

Thats less than I thought they'd sign for. Pathetic.

Tomorrow is February and this is our best acquisition of the off season. 30 yo reliever that put up a 4.08 ERA and 0.0 bWAR last season.

You just know JD's going to sweep in at the last moment and say, "Look who I plucked . . . Ben Gamel and Steve Cishek. We're playoff bound."

It must be because my eyes (and my mind) are going dotty in my senior years, but I thought Ben Gamel was not a bad player. Not someone you’d slot in the lineup every day, but a useful #4 outfielder, PH, PR. The hair flip got kind of old, though. Wonder how they took to that in suds-and-sausage land ?

Another guy they thought they could masquerade as a corner outfielder.

It's not going to work. They need to get a player that has a ceiling that is even average in a corner outfield. They keep stashing failed CF/2B and calling it good.

Guys like Gamel, Bishop, Long.. it's not even possible for them. They don't possess the ability to earn their keep out there.

LF, RF, 1B, just stop messing with the little pansies that can't hit out there or it puts our team at an immediate competitive disadvantage because other winning teams aren't trying to get cute with defense out there. They're busy putting runs on the board.

Arenado to St Louis. This must be exciting.
