Servais is the biggest pussy there ever was. Imagine you take a job in a professional sport where competition is everything and you curb that mentality to appease the pockets of the rich. Where is his spine? Where is his drive to win?
I honestly think Servais doesn't even look at baseball like a competition... he legit thinks he can just stick to his pussy, passive ways and the analytics will work it all out. He's in for a rude awakening when they kick his ass to the sidewalk like the Astros did Bo Porter and he'll have dick to show for it.

Who says he hasn't asked? He isn't going to make it public, no manager is going to do that. You complain about him doing dipoto's bidding but isn't that exactly what he is paid to do? Every manager wants more players and probably asks for them. Look at what he says there, about being on a 24 hour schedule but the team on a 24 month one, he is speaking to it right there actually. The manager has to bend to the wishes of the organization, that is unless he is looking to be replacedDonn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 2:16 amIStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 9:08 amThere's a difference between going full lap dog and asking for ownership to field a team that can help the optics of your performance.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 7:29 amMr hackneyed labels does as well, nothing contrarian about it, show where lou ever questioned or second guessed his bosses in public.

I think the M's should sign Brad Miller... if they're looking for a short-term lefty veteran bat that can give them some flex in the field (including LF) he'd be a great option.
In his last 296 AB's he's got an OPS of .861 w. 19 HR's and a respectable K to BB rate of basically 2.25 to 1.

Why not. At least it's something that potentially represents a short term upgrade. That's about all we're asking (begging) for.IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 2:24 amI think the M's should sign Brad Miller... if they're looking for a short-term lefty veteran bat that can give them some flex in the field he'd be a great option.

I thought he was getting paid manage a winning ball club... so far he's 348-360.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 2:17 amWho says he hasn't asked? There's a difference between going full lap dog and asking for ownership to field a team that can help the optics of your performance.

From the sound of things, he isn't really asking for much more than they're giving him... he's simply a lap dog to Dipoto. I wish we had a manager who fought to win, not one who coddles his GM's nutsack and says, "yes sir, anything for you sir Jerry."
Good for him, he gets to keep his job, lose in the process and he's perfectly fine w. that. What a winner we've found.

No it's not contrarian, it's not a strawman, it's called a dialog, something I love the Ms seems to grasp but you don't. So unless you actually have something interesting to offer other than your same tired cliches how about staying out of it for onceDavidGee24 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 9:37 pmNo, that was contrarian, and you made a straw man argument. Nobody said Servais should question DiPoto in public.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 7:29 amMr hackneyed labels does as well, nothing contrarian about it, show where lou ever questioned or second guessed his bosses in public.

No, it's contrarian. Virtually everyone else here says it, so there you go.
