The replies simply show just how stupid the bulk of Mariner fans are and why the front office is never held accountable.
Imagine being praised after u hang a .428 OPS season... Rogers Hornsby had 7 seasons where his OBP was higher than Dee's OPS. Hornsby could literally have had a slugging % of 0 and outperformed Dee.
Re: 2020-2021 Hot Stove Thread
LOL Its absolutely mind boggling. I saw one reply saying it was going to be harder for the M's to make the playoffs without his veteran leadership and another criticizing the M's for Trading him. My God, these people.IStillLoveTheMs wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 8:13 pmDude couldn't hit the ball out of a little league field last year.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 8:07 pmThe Dee Gordon lovefest begins. If I were on an MLB team where a veteran was hitting for a .428 OPS and he came and tried to show leadership and give advice, I'd tell him to shove it straight up his ass and follow his own advice so he wasn't costing us so fucking much.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 8:16 pmLOL Its absolutely mind boggling. The team got better as soon as he was gone. That's what happens when you dump the succubus.
The Mariners had two in Dee and Mallex, soon as they were gone, the players started playing like a team.
Putting those guys out there continually screams management was playing for the draft pick. As a player I would have been pissed seeing those bums out there.

I wonder how many people tweeted "Good riddance" in reply and either couldn't or got their comment booted. No way in hell did every fan responding say something like that...right?

You can't delete Tweets (only Twitter admins can if the Tweet is flagged)... only hide them, but people can still click on them LOL... people are actually this stupid.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 9:03 pmI wonder how many people tweeted "Good riddance" in reply and either couldn't or got their comment booted. I feel like replying but am afraid all those groupies will jump on me for caring about winning games more than rightfully honoring the patron saint of Mariner baseball.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 9:03 pmI wonder how many people tweeted "Good riddance" in reply and either couldn't or got their comment booted. Maybe the M's can bring him back as Perry Hill's understudyD-train wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 9:28 pmI feel like replying but am afraid all those groupies will jump on me for caring about winning games more than rightfully honoring the patron saint of Mariner baseball.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 08, 2021 9:03 pmI wonder how many people tweeted "Good riddance" in reply and either couldn't or got their comment booted. Imagine being upset that the M's didn't re-sign a player who needed to sign a minor league contract to stay in baseball. He had a .482 OPS last season and put up -.5 WAR. On what planet is that worthy of another contract?

Great guy, nice smile are obviously FAR more important to fans than being a good baseball player. And people are surprised this team hasn't made the playoff in two decades.

That’s what Mariners fans do... they get this huge emotional attachments to mediocre players and then throw a fit when they don’t get resigned
