Regarding the conversations with the miked players on the field, I will only say this:

Shut the Buck up.
The say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree but in this case Joe Back didn't even fall in the same county as his Dad, Jack.
Jack Buck was a masterful announcer. He was like Dave. You could listen to him all evening.

That said, I used to like Joe Buck until about 7 years ago when he began talking over Tim McCarver, and it was like two old biddies haggling over a pound of brisket.
McCarver is the worst. He commentary seems like he is targeting a kindergarten class in Angola.

I’m looking for the NL to tie it up and Vogey wins it with a walk-off in the ninth.

Ha ha, we actually have a game thread on this. Feels like we're back in the 70s hoping that Bruce Bochte gets to play.

Speaking of which, Ctaig Reynokds in 78 had to be our worst rep ever.

You’d think it was the plumber showing up to snake a drain, for all Buck cared, not being distracted from his love fest with Pete Alonso.

I was at the 79 game and Bochte Kingdome turf chopper up the middle for a base hit was the highight of my baseball watching life until Dave Henderson's HR off of Donnie Moore. Sums up being an M's fan as a kid pretty well.
