Then the scouts got it wrong.

Anyone who has played baseball at a high level can take a 5 minute look at his arm w. the M's and say that it is anything but elite. It's average.

It shouldn't even be controversial.

You don't watch the games, but if you saw the 9th inning... he made the exact play featured in the Tweet I posted twice, but instead of making a strong throw, he bounced the ball 5-8 times.

If his arm isn't what was touted that would call into question drafting him in the first place. He was a reach for the second round, he wasn't in the top 200. They drafted him there because of his defense and they felt his hitting could come around. If his defense isn't really there then yeah, i think that be pretty controversial.

His glove is elite. His range is very good. His arm is OK.

I think he was called up too early. He's got some contact in his bat and I could see him becoming a .270/.330/.400ish hitter in his prime with plus defensive skills.

But he's no Keybryan Hayes. THAT is an elite glove...

Williamson is dead last in fWAR among 3B's that have played at least 75 games. He's ranked 23 among players who have played at least 45 games. The glove isn't doing enough to counter the lack of a bat and a team that is serious about the playoffs shouldn't play that.

That was Arozarena's 9th home run in July, supposedly that means Arozarena joins Junior and Jay Buhner as the only mariners to accomplish that

Hard to believe theres a portion or the fan base that thinks this is acceptable.

Williamson is a waste of space, it's not that difficult.

Maybe he'll be better than Kelenic, but thats not saying much.
