Facts like Vogelbach being a 9/70 hitter against lefties? To what end?

Im not even the one that pointed that out I did point out that it wasn't due to irregular playing time that Beckham got cold though.

No it was due to irregular playing time that he couldn't get hot again.

He's been "fine" since, but hasn't been allowed the opportunity to play with enough regularity to have another .900 OPS streak.

And I dont care if you point out cherry picked facts as long as you don't think theyll be indicative of the future like whoever did with pointing out Vogelbach being 9/70.

The discussion was if Vogelbach would be able to figure it out. Nobody said because of the 9/70 he couldn't, just that the results were not good. And the 2 HR in 1 game helps, but it's far from proving anything. Luckily Mariners cam let him figure it out the next year and a half because they sure as heck aren't contending

Well that isn't what you said when I pointed out the cold streak in April. I was just pointing out that he didn't go cold because of irregular time.

I was pointing out that players have hot and cold streaks in a season, benching one in a cold streak isn't going to help anyone. The cumulative season and numbers is all that matters.

Bottom line is the Mariners and Julio dont think Beckham has more to offer.

He's an absolute steal at 2B.

They absolutely should keep him ahead of Dylan Moore or Shed Longs useless asses.

Shed Long is a perfect UTIL. Speed and versatile defense. Perfect type of guy to replace a Santana or Beckham in the late innings with a lead or as a pinch runner when down by a run.

But guys like Shed Long, Mallex Smith, bad Dee Gordon, they're not starting players but make good long term role players / replacement players. Dee Gordon is in his final year or two of being useful even a little bit.

Guys like Beckham are either starters, or they're out of the league. Right now he's a starter.

And i wasn't the one that said Beckham got cold due to irregular play.

In the end irregular play prevented him from getting out of it and becoming the hitter he was on the hot streak again, because.. he wasnt in the lineup anymore.

Hot, Cold, Hot, Cold. Unless you get pulled at Cold and turned into a spot player. Then Hot doesn't come again. Obviously. Like what happened to Beckham.
