Trade 1: M's trade Paul Sewald and Teoscar Hernandez to the Rangers for AAA 2B Justin Foscue
Why? Foscue is a former top-100 prospect (as high as #50 on Baseball Prospectus in '22) who is hitting .274/.394/.489/.883 with 46 BB's to just 39 K's in AAA. He's blocked from entering the majors by Semien at 2B. M's can trade for him and call him up to play 2B right away. Rangers add to a struggling bullpen and replace Grossman as the DH/4th OF w. Teo.
Trade 2: M's trade Logan Gilbert, Geno Suarez to the Cardinals for 3B Nolan Arenado, IF Nolan Gorman, AA SP Tink Hence
Why? The M's have the pitching depth in their organization to sacrifice Gilbert in a trade. Kirby, Woo, Miller, Hancock is a great young 4 arms to roll with alongside Castillo, Ray, etc... in the starting rotation. M's add a perennial All Star in Arenado and his remaining contract. Nolan Gorman is moved to 1B where his power plays. Tink Hence is a 21 year old in AA who has dominated thus far in his career. A couple years away, the M's can afford to wait where the Cardinals maybe can't.
Trade 3: M's trade Ty France and Taylor Trammell to the Brewers for AA Util Tyler Black, IF Keston Hiura
Why? M's now need to room at 1B so France is gone. Brewers need ML bats at 1B/DH/OF in a BAD way right now. Black has a career .420 OBP in the minors... .420... my God. He's currently sporting a .286/.430/.528/.958 slash in AA. He can play both the infield and outfield. Hiura has been rotting in the Brewers AAA system all year despite hitting .314/.400/.572/.972.
