Seattle is great this time of year but why ruin it by going to an M's game. If they are here until Wednesday have them do this. Awesome boat ride Salmon bake dinner and Indian Show all for less than the price of a worthless M's game. I've done it three times and everyone loves it.

The Tillikum Village trip is a blast for people visiting this time of year. I work with Washington Water Trails to maintain the campsites and beaches on the northwest side of Blake, as well as other sites from here to the San Juans. That little island is pretty special.
Indeed. When you first hear about some might think its kind of hokey but its actually great.

Looking at Mallex’s catch (and the ball rolling up to the top of the web) made me realize I’ve never owned a black baseball glove in my life. I always thought they were oddball.

Seager with his Mendoza BA
That's actually understating Mendoza.

Marco comes back to finish strong. He should be on pace for a 3.4 to 3.6 fWAR.

When Dee gets traded, I'd like to see a couple games with Seager at 2B and Nola at 3B. Nola started his career as a SS.

Mariners win! We're HEROES!!!

Good all-around game tonight. By the way, anyone else notice that we almost never have close games this season?

Come on Ice, Seager will never see 2B.

These guys have told me that for 2 years now. Obviously I'm kidding, he should have been there as soon as Ackley was a bust.

I'd have a hard time DFA'ing Nola or Healy in their prime in favor of Seager in his decline.

At some point this organization needs to grow some balls when it comes to underperforming vets. Seager and Gordon shouldn't be allowed in a Mariner uniform in 2020.

Would Seager be an above average defender at 2B? I don't kite that he has the range for that. What is the advantage of putting him at 2B where he sucks on offense and is at best average on defense. His biggest asset is his glove at 3B. He is here for better or worse the next few years. I get why you don't like it, but complaining won't change it. I hope Im wong and they just Dfa him, but I think the chances of that are .001%. Mariners just won't do that.

Some people think 3B's, 1B's and corner OF's need to be big bats or they're worthless. I've never quite understood the theory.

I see it more like this. Seager might hit better in a change of scenery, perhaps in the NL. I'd like to know if Nola can handle 3B. Also next year they're supposed to do away with the shift.

I understand that, but that is beside my point. Seager won't be with the team in 2022 and beyond, he will likely be here until then. I think his bat is the same regardless of if he plays second or third. We have to deal with him 2 more years. I can palate a good defensive 3B that isn't hitting much more than I can an average defensive 2B.

We all hate Dee Gordon at 2B. Seager would be a worse defender, worse hitter and has no speed. I see absolutely no upside to moving him to 2B at this point. If someone is ready to play 3B before 2022, Mariners make a trade, or sign a free Agent 3B that may change. But for now, at least he provides good D and can help out the pitchers a bit.

There is no need to tweek the positions of a bunch of players that won't be a long term part of this team anyway (Seager, Nola, Healy)
