Game balls to Raleigh, Torrens, Moore, Sewald, and Graveman...
No Kikuchi and his 12 K's?!!!!!
Not a bad outing but I would have preferred 10Ks and 2 less HRs. He has given up a lot of them this year for some reason.
He's always been prone to that. He was 3rd in MLB in 2019 with 36 given up.
The poster formerly known as Kingfelixk. With a new forum comes a new boardname. Julio is my guy, plus we share a birthday, so that's Culiooooo

Oddly he wasn't last year but short season. That's why his FIP was only 3.30 last year and 4.42 this year and also why his fWAR was 1.1 last year and only 1.0 this year. But as we discussed fWAR for pitchers is pretty whacked.

Yeah but I'll take 6 innings of 2 run ball against a playoff team 100 times out of 100! Our defense cost him an unearned run AND an extra inning.

The only National League team in the last 55 years to lose 70 of its first 100 games of a season was the Phillies in 1997 (30-70).

While I don’t like the 2 HR, I do like he gives up HR with no one on base which is a plus

I wonder if Dilly learned this from Dave Sims.

Dylan Moore reached base with an infield hit in the 7th, stole second and scored the go-ahead run after back-to-back wild pitches. He said post-game he was trying to keep the "annoyingness" level up. He's a big believer that a stolen base can disrupt the other team.

Of course but not like he tried to give up a HR because the bases were empty or tried harder to not give up a HR when he had guys on base.
