So offer more than any other team that is wanting them to play SS and then move them to 2B where they are less valuable. Brilliant. :|

We're gonna have to divy out some coin if we hope to land one of the Big Four.

Even more if we ask them to move to 2B.
Fuckin' A. JP better wake up for the betterment of the team and realize this. Just as Marco stepped aside for all the pitching.

Shouldn't even be JPs decision. Yes, props to Marco for handling that like a Man.

One blogger predicts Seattle will land only former Mariners Edwin Diaz and Rafael Montero in the free agent market:

Yes, everyone has an opinion. ;)

Sean Roberts. I bet former Mariner Leon Roberts or former Seahawk Ray Roberts or actor Julia Roberts would be able to present a more likely scenario.

Last offseason Seattle reliever Paul Sewald was unsuccessful in recruiting Kris Bryant, his college teammate at the University of San Diego:

Perhaps this offseason Sewald will try to recruit Gold Glove outfielder Joey Gallo, a fellow graduate of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas and a friend of Sewald's younger brother:

The lefthand-hitting Gallo, who turns 29 years old next month, is coming off a career-worst season after posting a career-high 4.2 fWAR in 152 games the previous year:

Gallo, who has hit at least 38 home runs in each of three seasons, strikes out too frequently for many fans. However, the two-time All Star walks at an a career rate of 14.8 percent for an on-base percentage of .325.

Like Michael Conforto, Gallo is an under-30 outfielder, ineligible for a qualifying offer, looking for an opportunity to re-establish his value.

Good stuff. Why do you think a hitter with such an impeccable eye and light tower power is unable to muster a reasonable BA?

Joey Gallo reportedly holds the defensive shift at least partially responsible:

Next season Gallo may benefit from the rule restrictions regarding shifts.

Or not.

My moves

LF - Ian Happ (FA)

RF - Bryan Reynolds (Trade)

DH - Jose Abreu (FA)

2B - Luis Arraez (Trade)

Winker gets traded, Haniger moves on unless you sign him to a QO & make him your 4th OF wouldn't be a horrible idea, & the cherry on top Mr. Adam "not Joe" Frazier is G-O-N-E. My question would be do we have enough depth to acquire both Reynolds & Arraez (if made available)?
