I wonder how many teams have won WS with entire infields with about a .700 OPS.

I looked back at the last 30 years and if I recall only like 4 teams have made the World Series that finished outside the top-10 in team OPS. No team that has finished bottom-10 has won a WS over this time span.

And teams that made to the WS were overwhelmingly in the top-5, if not no. 1 or 2 overall.

Offense was clearly down that year. .699 OPS put them 14th in baseball hence the 100 OPS+.

A .710 OPS in 2023 for the M's puts them 22nd. OPS+ is a little higher, but results are results.
