This is where we have a significant advantage over the Dodgers and Giants:
Funny that nobody ever talks about this...

A contract with the M's at the same price point is worth considerably more than it is with many other teams.

But it's always, "the travel sucks!!! the stadium sucks!!! it rains!!!"
Tax differences are frequently discussed.

Texas and Florida have similar state income tax advantages on top of generally lower costs of living.

I have plugged Washington's tax advantage several times over the years.

I don't mean that nobody here does it.

What I mean is that it's rarely a narrative pushed by national or local media regarding why Seattle might be enticing.

Going to put a couple of the BS myths that the idiots like to harp on to bed once and for all. Seattle is the 6th driest state in the country in the summer:

I highly doubt that Dipoto goes after Bellinger, but he'll be available come this Monday. He'd be a great L-R-L Crawford, Julio, Bellinger at the top of the order.

Yes the Mariners travel more that almost every other team but they don't travel in Covered Wagons or even Trains or auto mobiles.

They travel on Jet Airplanes which fly at 600mph. As you can see they fly 14,700 miles more than the median teams, the Rangers and Phillies.

14,700/600 = 24.5 hours more on a plane A SEASON than those two teams. That is 4 hours a month or one hour a week, surfing the internet, napping, playing video games or watching movies. I know BRUTAL. It is Absurd people focus on this like it is some sort of torture. They would be doing the same thing in their hotel room.
