Seahawks played the Falcons and Saints . It would be the combined win total of GB/WAS vs PHIL/MINN.
The tie breaker is "strength of victories". Since we didn't beat NO and SF did, that counts in their SOV, but not in ours. Likewise, Atlanta counts in ours and not in theirs.

Why wouldn't you count the Falcons who the Seahawks beat and the Saints who the 49ers beat?
Strength of victory is the combined win total of non common opponents.
The fifth tiebreaker is strength of victory – best combined win-loss percentage of different teams that a club has defeated. As O’Neil laid out Wednesday during “Danny and Gallant,” the two teams that San Francisco has played that Seattle hasn’t are Washington (3-9) and Green Bay (9-3). The two teams that Seattle has played that San Francisco hasn’t are Philadelphia (5-7) and Minnesota (8-4).

I'm almost positive it's all victories. Non common opponents doesn't even make sense

The three way tiebreaker doesn't make sense. Even if they did combine all victories the results would still depend on non common opponents. Right?

No because our victories are against different teams. San Francisco gets a lot of credit for beating New Orleans and we don't get much credit for beating Atlanta. each team will have 12 wins. You take the combined record of all of those teams that we beat and whoever has the better combined record wins the division.

I agree with Pete Carroll at this point.
“I don’t care,” Carroll said. “I really don’t. Because we have to go win the game. And then we have to go win another game and then we’ll see where we are. That’s the only thing that really matters to me.”

Apparently Hawks can't clinch in week 16. Hindemith was right.

Yeah, I just have a hard time believing we can win the division with a loss to the 49ers. I do thought think if we win out we have a very good chance at the #1 seed. Seems like one of the few ways winning out doesn't get us that is if we are tied only with the Saints.

I just read in art thiels column that we are the second team in NFL history to win 10 games by one score or less. It is definitely worth the read as it also tells about the Hawks following the 49er game on their flight home with shaky internet access.
