They could of easily flipped Ford & a couple pitchers easy. No question. Good thing is there's still talent out there. Hoping like heck for Kwan but would take Jax or Fairbanks.Pharmabro wrote: ↑Thu Jul 31, 2025 4:28 amI typed it up yesterday night just didn't hit send.GL_Storm wrote: ↑Thu Jul 31, 2025 4:19 amHave you been hiding under a rock? Mariners are getting Geno and Duran is going to Philly.Pharmabro wrote: ↑Thu Jul 31, 2025 4:16 amI have seen 2 different perspectives on this.
1. Geno is sill theee focus
2. There is a pivot to maybe paying top dollar for for Duran and Jax from Minny. But what if it was both. Minny is said to want 2 top 100s for Duran and Jax.
Fine: Give me one of Jax 206, or Duran 211 ERA+, and Coulombe 367 ERA+ . I'd give you 2 top 100's plus some filler. Coulombe is having a great year but he is good but not great player. He has only played 50 innings twice in 1 years and only has a bit over 5 WAR for his career. He is a free agent so you will have to outbid everyone for him and I had him as an option for my offseason plans. How many more wins would Seattle have if Speier was our 2nd best lefty. I think 1.6 WAR = 2 wins, but BP WAR is discounted so I think if we had another stud BP lefty, we have 4 or 5 more wins on the season.
MLB trade calc has
Jax :
Coulombe: 0.9M
Duran: 25.2 M
Jax 25.7M
I would have hot Duran
That would have been![]()

Yes sir. Especially with Paredes going down for Houston, now's the time to be even more aggressive. Heck throw in Beiber the unknown I don't care. Like I said in the other post give them Sloan, Ford, & 1 of Celestin, Emerson, or Peete then add either a Walter Ford or McGraw.Pharmabro wrote: ↑Thu Jul 31, 2025 4:46 amSteven Kwan the guardiams OF?HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 31, 2025 4:34 amThey could of easily flipped Ford & a couple pitchers easy. I am not sure why everyone is so gung ho on Jax. He has a high K/9 but the dude has a 4.50 ERA and a 1.28 WHIP. If your talking to Minnesota seems like you could get both Varland and Coulombe for a fraction of what it would take to get Jax.
Bullpen
R Munoz 1.32 ERA .927 WHIP
L Coulumbe 1.16 ERA .968 WHIP
R Brash 1.03 ERA 1.101 WHIP
L Speier 2.48 ERA .975 WHIP
R Varland 2.02 ERA 1.102 WHIP
R Bazardo 2.65 ERA 1.067 WHIP
L Ferguson 3.74 ERA 1.085 WHIP
R Vargas 3.78 ERA 1.440 WHIP
