I said a "pretty" lateral move which acknowledges they are a tier above but they are both top 5-6 Big 10 programs imo. Of course he might go but I don't see it as a lock.

Why didn't he go back to his beloved Alma Mater Florida??? Did he know Moore was banging that little hotty and would get fired so he held out for a bigger pond?

Florida didn't make him an offer but Michigan will?
Michigan is kind of behind the 8 Ball because of the late date. All of the high profile candidates have already taken jobs. Fisch might not be their ideal choice but if he is the best they can convince to come they kind of have no choice. Someone has to coach the team. I find it odd that there hasn't been much mention of the Indiana Coach. That's who I'd be going after if it was the Huskies looking for a coach.

Also Kyle Wittingham has reportedly said he wants the Michigan Job.

It was nice of Sprinkle's Kids to lose for a second year in a row to SU.
Wow, that's pathetic.

Seems to me the angst was justified. If Wittingham doesn't take the offer then Fisch is probably gone and UW is back in rebuilding mode. You can't sustain success with this kind of uncertainty and upheaval in the leadership of the program. Peterson retires early then one year of Lake, two of DeBoer, and going into the third year of a guy that seems to be hopeful of moving up the ladder at maximum velocity until he reaches the top rung. Doesn't seem like a formula for success but maybe it says more about the times we live in. These coaches see the money their players are getting along with the transfer portal and they think "fuck it" why should I turn down more money to be loyal to these guys? I get that DeBoer put UW in a tough situation but I wonder if appointing an interim coach and doing an extended coaching search wouldn't have been a better way to go.

All of that is complete speculation based on nothing. Will UW be Jedd's last coaching job? Probably not but I see zero evidence that he can't wait to get out of town. And I contend it will be for the NFL not another college job. He took a decimated program and went 6-6 and then 9-4 this season and just had the best recruiting class this century. I am inclined to give him some credit instead of assuming he is a dirty rotten scoundrel because he didn't stay at a mid tier program adrift without a conference and left for an upper tier Big 10 school with a very recent Natty game appearance.

He's got a history of jumping from job to job as an assistant coach as well. It just seems to be in his nature to not put down roots and always be looking for a better gig. That doesn't make him a bad person or villain, but it does make it hard to get excited about his future here.

I think that is the nature of assistants. How many OCs have we had since Pete and John took over? 2 HCs and 6 OCs.

Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator history
Klint Kubiak
Kubiak is the offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks since the 2025 season. Kubiak's record as the team's offensive coordinator was 12-3-0, making him the most successful offensive coordinator in Seattle Seahawks history.

Ryan Grubb
Grubb was the offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks in the 2024 season.

Shane Waldron
Waldron was the offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks in the 2021-2023 seasons, a total of three years. The team made it to the playoffs one time (2022) and had a 0-1 record under Coach Waldron in playoff games.

Brian Schottenheimer
Schottenheimer was the offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks in the 2018-2020 seasons, a total of three years. Schottenheimer's record as the team's offensive coordinator was 33-15-0, making him the second-most successful offensive coordinator in Seattle Seahawks history. The team made it to the playoffs three times (2018-2020) and had a 1-3 record under Coach Schottenheimer in playoff games.

Darrell Bevell
Bevell was the offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks in the 2011-2017 seasons, a total of seven years. Bevell's record as the team's offensive coordinator was 72-39-1, making him the third-most successful offensive coordinator in Seattle Seahawks history. The team made it to the playoffs five times (2012-2016) and had a 8-4 record under Coach Bevell in playoff games. In 2013, the Seattle Seahawks faced off against the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII and the Seahawks, under the direction of head coach Pete Carroll, won 43-8. In 2014, the Seattle Seahawks faced off against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX and the Seahawks, under the direction of head coach Pete Carroll, lost 24-28.

Jeremy Bates
Bates was the offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks in the 2010 season. The team made it to the playoffs one time (2010) and had a 1-1 record under Coach Bates in playoff games.

I almost hate to go here with this, because I have mentioned it before, but I really do believe that Seattle, and all the reasons to hate being there has a lot to do with it. Even before it became what it is now, we heard many talk about not liking it there. Griffey had to talk ARod into staying the first time, and the first thing he said when he got to Seattle was "what the Hell do guys do here?"

That was before. The city sucks, downtown has been destroyed by the Summer of Love and all the rest of the bullshit that idiot Mayor allowed, and now they actually have an ex-barista Socialist as the Mayor? And the entire State is expensive, but Seattle is a nightmare. I just don't see many wanting to stay here unless they were already from here.

On the expensive issue, but aunt owns a second home in Suncadia. Yes, it is an amazing home, and a very large home, but what she pays for power in one month is about what I pay for the year. Puget Power. Seattle is a shit show, and while DT has pointed out before that you can live away and commute, these guys already sleep in their office half the time. Do you really want to fight that traffic even more on the rare occasion that you do get to go home?

No amount of money would get me to live in Seattle. So, if the option is to live in Seattle and coach the Huskies or live in Ann Arbor and coach the Wolverines? How many besides people with deep ties to the City or at least to the West Coast are going to make that call? DeBoer's daughter was coming to Washington to play softball, and he left. We had an AD chose to go to fucking Nebraska! People want out of Seattle, not into Seattle.
