Akers doesn't have much of a resume.

Shaheed reminds me of Percy Harvin. Super fast, almost a decoy or a magic trick that's only used occasionally.

Speedwise, Shaheed in the backfield might make sense. We know he can accelerate and adjust quickly but if he has to absorb any real punishment, that could be bad. He is a returner, though. I guess a lot of it depends on the play calling and his vision.
I am not sure I want a guy taking his first meaningful snaps at RB in the NFCCG.
It's about the only way we might be able to get him the ball, no way are the Hams going to kick to him. He had two carries against the Whiners and one went for 30 yards so why not give him a few more? All of his runs can be pitchouts, and we can also fake pitchouts and get the defense to bite and maybe get guys open downfield.

I could be wrong, but I believe his carries were fly sweep types, not lining up in the backfield. JSN lines up in the backfield from time to time, doesn't mean he is playing RB. We lost a Running Back, and one that we utilize in the short yardage no less. You don't replace him with a WR just because the WR runs fast. I'd rather give those types of carries to K9...you know? The guy that has been our starting RB for something like four years?

I imagine several guys will line up in the backfield to try and create mismatches. But I don't think lining up Shaheed and running 1970 USC Student Body Left sweeps is the answer to losing Charbonnet.

Championship Sunday is no more the time to try guys out in new spots than it would have been a good idea to ask Kirby to start throwing a knuckle ball in Game 7 in Toronto.

Friend of mine has been questioning my enthusiasm over facing the Rams. He's of the mind, the easiest path to a championship is the better one. But what's the point of winning a championship if it requires avoiding the toughest team? I'll be disappointed if the seahawks lose to the Rams but I won't regret playing the game.
But if the Bears had won they wouldn't have been the better team? I think the Bears are an easier matchup than the Rams, in a way, but Williams is the X Factor. It is easier to rush a QB that isn't going to hurt you with his legs.
That had been my thinking, whoever won would make them the better opponent. But the Bears would have been considered a bigger underdog, the point spread been wider. I was rooting for the Bears being I hate the Rams but on the other hand I've been dreaming of this championship match-up since back in the regular season. There was a point were the bracket had them meeting in the first round which would have messed with the drama. This is just so way it should be

I came here to point out the same thing douche has, incredible how close they are over the two regular season games
"Field Yates of ESPN reminded us of that, showing that only 1 yard and one point separated the Rams and Seahawks this season in their two meetings. The Rams scored 58 points to the Seahawks’ 57, and outgained Seattle by 1 yard, 830 to 829"

Akers is now about as useful as Marshawn was in that 2019 playoff game.

Interesting Stafford talking about the challenge for the Rams. Calling Lumen the toughest place in the league to have to play . So has Lumen got it's mojo back?

K9 gonna get his bulk of the carries. How about some 2-2 personnel (2 RB/2 TE). Is Arroyo healthy? Throw Saubert in the backfield too to completely mess with their minds. Kubiak is gonna show some shit he ain't never shown before you know he is. Let this be the game to put his creative genius to work.

Lambs can't scheme us this week with Charbs done and all our healthy fresh offensive callups suddenly available. Maybe we will just tight end them to death, and let our D and special teams pin their ears back all night. K9 can carry the freight, and Vulva Jones Jr appears ready to rock for tough yards to spell him. More Bobo, AJ, Coop, Arroyo. More Cowbell.

33-16 Hawks
