Woolen's Future (or lack thereof)

Jobe was good in the SB but they can't roll with him moving forward. He got absolutely cooked in too many games... couldn't hang with Puka at all.

Going to be a lot of CBs on the streets if not being able to hang with Puka is a fire able offense.

I mean, I don't mind giving up 100 yards and a TD to him overall... but Jobe? The guy was responsible for 100 yards and a TD each game on Puka.

The Hawks have pressing needs at CB heading into next year. Jobe was good in the SB but they can't roll with him moving forward. He got absolutely cooked in too many games... couldn't hang with Puka at all.

I'd re-sign Woolen if the cost is favorable and draft a CB early to play opposite him.

I've seen those charts before and I don't put a lot of stock in them. But luckily for everyone with any say in the situation, it
doesn't matter what I think. If MM and JS like him and want to keep him, then so be it. I'm predicting they will let him walk
like they did DK and Geno.

This was bugging me before the game, but I felt it was poor form to bring it up until they had the ring.
This forum had a long thread on firing Woolen. He was a douche early in the season. Then he seemed to turn
it around and was actually tackling well etc. I publicly ate crow and even stuck up for Woolen after that, but
then the taunting penalty and I started to overthink it again. Then this radio interview. Begins 11:30 mark

Cutting to the chase, I don't think MM and JS will be willing to re-sign Woolen for top 10 CB money.

Who is predicting he will get top 10 QB money? Seems kind of rich for someone who made one probowl 4 years ago.

His season was pretty much identical to Jobe's. They each had 12 passes defended and 1 INT. Is Jobe going to get top 10 pay too?

Which doesn't fit the Woolen situation far as I know. I couldn't get the interview to play, maybe I'll try again later. But I wouldn't make too much out of interview stuff. Go listen to the stuff he said at the beginning of the season. Sure, fans want to hear apologies, he's not the guy. He's very defensive in interviews. He's not giving in and admitting to anything, he's not opening himself up to that. This is why marshawn quit giving interviews, people make too much out of them. I wouldn't apply it to the decisions JS and MM need to make.

I don't think the market was as big for Reek as he thought it would be. I don't know if this
makes it more or less likely Reek is a Seahawk next year.

You're probably right, I don't know enough about it to know if it's a big deal but seems to be quiet on the Woolen front. I'd be happy to bring him back if MM wants to. I'm getting nervous about losing guys

Coby was the biggest one. No chance they were gonna give K9 that big ass deal. Mafe I was fine with. Big time overpay. RB are a dime a dozen. Essentially replace Coby with Okada. Their not done believe me.

The fact Woolen hasn't been grabbed up makes me think he's coming back on a fair deal. That would be a solid resigning. Maybe kick the tires on Alvin Kamara on a cheap deal, see if he's got anything left in the tank as low risk option in the RB room. Man, can't believe Cinci paying Mafe like that. Oh, wait, it's CInci, yeah, now it makes sense.
