Nobody is saying charbonnet is going to be ready to play at the beginning of the season. What is being said is he could be ready sooner than is typically expected
Re: Free Agents - Cap Space - who stays, who's gone
Brock Huard today had a take I thought was interesting.
He claimed the best FA signing for the Seahawks yesterday was Boye Mafe getting 20 million per.
He claims this will pay dividends down the line as players and their agents take note, and are deciding
where to take a chance.

You mean in terms of the seahawks being a place to go to get recognized? That sounds real Brock huard to me.trharder wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 2:50 amBrock Huard today had a take I thought was interesting.

This Crosby thing really is nuts. Backing out really scews things up for the Ravens as well. In the four days there's been all sorts of developments it could affect. Like FA signings which aren't final either
If Tyler Linderbaum, Nakobe Dean, Quay Walker or Jalen Nailor is worried that the Raiders' cap situation might delay his deal, he could decide to take a bird-in-the-hand deal from another interested team instead. This is hypothetical, but it's realistic, and the uncertainty created by this Crosby news could have ripple effects

Like I said in the other post, I get not paying K9. Where else you gonna find an upgrade if it's not through the draft. You think you can just plug anybody in there & call it good. I'd love Love but he ain't falling that far & JS don't have the ammo to go up & get him. Again I question some of these moves. Like did Chicago overpay for Coby. He's such a valuable asset in the secondary. We had the space to keep him. Who knows whats gonna happen with Crosby. Will he stay, how will that affect their FA signings. Who in the world wants to sign with LV of all places. As long as we get better & the rest of our division gets worse, that's all I care about.

How about Trey Hendrickson, he must not have gotten what he expected. Who else is out there?
Re: Free Agents - Cap Space - who stays, who's gone
Sure maybe Oct in stead of December. We still of nothing for game one in terms of a legit RB1 or RB2 unless we pull off a trade.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 2:42 amNobody is saying charbonnet is going to be ready to play at the beginning of the season. Somebody suggested drafting the other ND RB Price. But he is at best a 3rd rounder and might fall to day three. We all know rookies almost never hit the ground running day 1. If JS pulls this off and finds a viable RB one I give him another Exec of the year award on the spot.

Hendrickson is still out there as is K'Lavon Chaiison. Never hurts to add another pass rusher, albeit situational. Then there's the safety market. Chicago took one of ours so why not swipe one of their's in either Brisker or Byard. You know MM loves his 3 safety looks. Byard is older at 32, wouldn't cost as much. This courtesy of Seahawks Wire.
Byard is an excellent communicator who led the NFL in interceptions this past campaign with seven. The Seahawks could replace Bryant's penchant for takeaways with a true ball-hawk in Byard. The experienced safety would be an outstanding fit in Macdonald's defense.
Couldn't hurt to ask right. Bradley Chubb another name to keep an eye on as well. AJ Epenesa from the Bills is out there as well. If their looking to upgrade at the Guard position there's Bitonio & Teller from the Browns. Low Cost option there can move Bradford to the bench perhaps.

i think Nwosu has a beef with Teller for a cheap shot years ago that would prevent his signing here. like the thought of Bitonio or Kevin Zeitler though.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 5:27 amHendrickson is still out there as is K'Lavon Chaiison. Re: Free Agents - Cap Space - who stays, who's gone
If they draft Jonah Coleman would you be OK with what we have and Jonah....and sprinkle in Charbo when he returns? I was one of those guys you mentioned, pissed that Charbo took HALF the carries. The coaches obviously felt the same, and it really does seem they were just sort of limiting him early. Even when Charbo was healthy at the end, he was much less involved. That said? There are guys still out there that could pair with what we have, and while they might not be K9? We wouldn't be terrible.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 9:13 pmEven If Charb was ready seems it wasn't long ago that he was considered a slug and nobody could believe he was splitting carries with Walker but now he is our best case scenario for RB1 for a team focused on being a run first team???
I guess we can run Shaheed on fly sweeps a dozen times a game.
Joe Mixon - Be interested to see what the team Dr's felt about him. The guy was a beast year before last.
Najee Harris - Still has some in the tank
Jerome Ford - Showed flashes in Cleveland when Chubb went down
Raheem Mostert - Lot of miles on the tires, but still has some juice
Kareem Hunt - No thanks
Miles Sanders - Always had a lot of hype, never really lived up
Rachaad White - Somehow stile reps from Bucky in Tampa, must be something to that
Brain Robinson - Looked good in limited action last year
Michael Carter - Had some real good games in NY
Khalil Herbert - Very good change of pace guy
Hassan Haskins - Very Charbonnet like
Keaton Mitchell - Another I'd be very interested in knowing his health. He was incredibly explosive before the injury
Sean Tucker - Another guy the Bucs seemed to like. Kind of an inside pounder
Any of these guys at the right price? Nothing flashy, but I'd be good with Coleman in the draft and maybe one of these guys on a prove it deal.
Again, in today's game? I think over paying for a RB is a problem. Everyone in here believes the Rams are going to be screwed by their salaries, but then no one looks at the fact that the Ravens, Eagles, Packers and Texans all went big on FA RBs recently. The Ravens missed the playoffs completely just a season later, and the Texans are the only one of the four to win a playoff game. And that was because the Steelers were completely dominated by their defense.
Barkley's one explosive year doesn't change that. The Eagles also had a running threat at QB. The very next season they tried to keep all the mouths fed, Barkley and Hurts both seemed to lose a step....and bam. Obviously the Eagles aren't going to give back their Ring, but there is nothing saying they couldn't have won a Super Bowl with Hurts and a back not making more money than any other NFL RB.
