vs. RHP .265 .333 .382 .716 65OPS+
vs. LHP .381 .480 .635 1.115 155OPS+
Those are the splits for a former 1st-round pick by the name of Andrew Vaughn. Now he was hurt at the beginning of the year, but has been hitting well since his return. I figure the only thing the Brewers need is a solid starter since Woodruff is not coming back this year. So my proposal is Vaughn and #12 prospect OF Alexander Frias for Hancock.

Where do you play him?Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 12:06 amThe Nationals are basically the 1996 Mariners.
2x young players with OPS's over 1.000 and won't make the playoffs.
Magine when JP Crawford looks in the mirror... does he wonder why he can't be CJ Abrams?
GIVE THE MOON FOR ABRAMS.

You really should be in the M's front office. Have you thought of applying? You would need to pass yourself off as a mustelid or rodent to get the job of course.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Sun Jul 26, 2026 11:28 pm
It happens... I once thought Weaver would make a great reliver.
Jerry DFA'd him.
Now he's one of the game's top bullpen arms.

SS. Send Colt back to the minors and bench Patches once Donovan returns.Bil522 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 12:42 amWhere do you play him?Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 12:06 amThe Nationals are basically the 1996 Mariners.

Has the arm and athleticism to play there.
JP dogshit Crawford starts there now. Send him to the Nats, eat all his remaining money, and then pay the Nats more just for putting up having him on the roster.
Then have Donovan play an OF/IF rotation role when he's back up.
Send them Hancock, Farmelo, Peters, Crawford and $4M cash.

Apparently Ketel Marte scrubbed everything related to the DBacks on his social media today lol.
He'd be an interesting get.

It seemed like he was the guy we should have been pursuing instead of Donovan, but Marte's numbers have sharply declined this year and when you do the Arizona/Seattle conversion it gets uglier, like it did with Suarez last year and in a delayed reaction Naylor this year. Still, at least Marte would actually be on the field.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 6:41 pmApparently Ketel Marte scrubbed everything related to the DBacks on his social media today lol.

Re: Official MLB Trade Deadline Thread (Rumors and Ideas Welcome)
I think they have missed the window with this current crop of talent. Its abundantly obvious that they don't have a legitimate ace and they don't have a legitimate middle of the order franchise bat. They aren't going to have a legit chance again until either Sloane or Anderson develops into a true ace and Emerson and Young actually reach physical maturity and prove to be cornerstone players.
They need to throw in the towel on this year. Its going to be a sellers market with so many teams in playoff contention and they will have the opportunity to beef up an already stacked minor league system.
I would do a mini rebuild and offload anyone that I could that is past their first year of arbitration. That includes Randy, Gilbert, Munoz, Kirby, Donovan, and Speier. Obviously I'd also try to unload Castillo and JP if anyone would take them. Stock pile a ton of prospects and then use the prospects to retool via trades during the off season. That would also free up approximately 75 Million in payroll which might be able to entice a couple legit free agents rather than the dumpster dives that Jerry usually goes after. If they do that they could be back in the World Series hunt in a couple of years. continue down this path and they are just going to kind of tread water as arbitration numbers creep up and prevent any significant roster additions.

I think the entire idea of a rebuild is stupid. It should take two years max to get an MLB roster playoff-worthy.
Wasn't that long ago the Rangers were supposed to be worse than us. The White Sox. The Dbacks. Pirates. Nationals. Cardinals.
Dipoto just cant pick any players that don't suck. Because HE sucks.
