Bowers is a TE, not a WR. Not comparable.
True, but the game is crazy now a days. How about Ernest Jones last week breaking up that pass deep down the field? And it was only a few plays after some LB for Washington had run stride for strice with Price on a go route! The game is so different, the players are so different. Bowers is basically a WR that is big enough to play TE.
Yeah I guessing that writer of that headline knew that Bowers was a tight end and not a WR. Probably just referring to the level of production obviously.

I thought it was a compliment for JSN, the standard others are measured against. And Kubiak gets credit too, now he's got Bowers

More Bowers...terms of what he is, so far he's a WR, at least that's how he's being used. Which makes a difference terms of his value. Remember the deal with Graham wanting to be designated a WR
Bowers finished the game with 10 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown. Bowers was all over the field, in slot 39% of the snaps, out wide 39%, and inline 17%. While fans were wondering who the wide receiver was on the field, it was clear after Week 3 that it was Brock Bowers.

That was also on full display in the personnel usage. The Raiders had two tight ends on the field for 83% of the snaps. That means Michael Mayer was the traditional tight end while Bowers was out wide in the slot
I'm intrigued with following Kubiak's career. Remember discussing how they were gonna have to be patient with Kubiak. They couldn't just keep firing their HC. That doesn't seem to an issue these days. See how a tougher schedule goes. Their playoff odds have shot up

Anybody familiar with this.. 1975 as a publicly stunt Redskins owner George Allen proposed signing Andre the Giant. He couldn't really afford him, Andre made a lot more money wrestling than football players at the time. Anyway there's Andre holding the 6 foot 200 pound Joe Theismann in his arms like he's a child

Stafford at six interceptions now. I felt he would blow past the eight he had last season. Anylitcally speaking, there was a ton of luck last season, i think it could be playing out this one. Now the 49ers on the other hand, yikes.

George Allen was the HC not owner. btw is he the only human in history killed by a Gatorade shower?? Died at 72 yo.
Death
Allen died at age 72 from ventricular fibrillation in his home in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, on December 31, 1990.[4]

There was some speculation afterward that his death may have been caused by a form of Gatorade shower. On November 17, some of his Long Beach State players dumped a Gatorade bucket filled with ice water on him following a season-ending victory over UNLV; in an interview some weeks later, Allen quipped that the university couldn't afford actual Gatorade, and said that he had felt somewhat unwell since then. The sports editor of the Long Beach State newspaper, the Daily Forty-Niner, recalled that the temperature was in the 50s with a biting wind. Allen stayed on the field for media interviews for a considerable length of time in his drenched clothing, and remained in his wet clothing on the bus back to Long Beach state.

Yeah that's correct, Allen was the one that engineered it
[Allen] had talked to Vince McMahon Sr.,” Theismann said. “This was the type of progressive mind that he had; he talked to Vince McMahon Sr. and said ‘Look, I’m thinking about maybe bringing Andre the Giant in, signing him, so that he can come in and block field goals and extra points for us.’ Now, I don’t know whether it was true or not, but if you look up the picture, I look like an infant. Is that unbelievable or what? Look at his head! And I’ll tell you something, I shook his hand and I lost my arm. I mean, it went all the way up to my elbow. I had no forearm or anything.
Theismann looks like a ventriloquist dummy

WOW...the Beagles don't kick the ball into the end zone, the guy chasing the returner could have easily let him run out the clock but tackles him at the 40 yard line and the Jugs kick the winning FG.
