You would actually have a different court altogether, and they're broken down into square pieces. When the Clippers played at Staples/Crypto.Com Arena with the Lakers, not only did both teams have their own courts, but the Kings also played there (and still do) so you had two courts AND a rink that you had to interchange frequently, like so: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elicZHeUJ2wDonn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2026 2:56 pmActually I didn't, I notice articles occasionally about the wnba. I don't think I've ever seen one about the Storm. I'd forgotten they exist.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2026 2:33 pmFyi the Storm play there. You know that right????Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Sep 17, 2026 4:01 amcome on, five weeks to do it? They need to add a basketball court lol
Wnba uses a different 3 point line. Adjusting that is probably a five week operation
The NBA line sits at 23 feet, 9 inches (and 22 feet in the corners), while the WNBA line is shorter and uniform at 20 feet, 6.25 inches to 22 feet

And that's after the recent sales of other NBA teams (including the Celtics and Lakers) had already driven up the expected valuation (i.e. expansion cost). That's probably the main reason for why this process has taken so effing long.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2026 3:44 pmHave you noticed Silver once again putting the screws to Seattle? He's saying now that the price could be going up due to interest in a franchise in Mexico city. Pretty unbelievable, always the same old shit

This is actually going to take longer than it took for them to replace the viaducts after the 2001 Nisqually earthquake with the tunnel. That took 18 years.

Not happy with the offers
According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the NBA loves the bidding war for the Las Vegas franchise because the winning offer may exceed $10 billion. However, he added that the current offers to bring back the SuperSonics "are substantially lower." That may be souring the league's commissioner on a Seattle team, because his job is to increase the value of the NBA and its clubs

Kick coverage is so bad the guy can hesitate for a minute and still get past the 40? Awful.
