I was a Nuremberg townsperson in the Chicago Civic Opera production of ‘Der Meistersinger’ in the ‘77 season. It was a blast. I got the gig by plying the costuming director with a couple of free drinks where I bartended.

No kidding.... my mother (who was involved in dance for many years) was able to get my brother and me into a Joffrey production of Petroushka as "supers" i believe in '77 or '78. It was performed at the old Opera House.

Yes, the Seattle Center opera house. The Joffrey ballet was on tour from New York.
