The Yankees grab McMahon.

I was right... they didn't want to destroy what little remains of the top portion of their farm for 2 months of Geno.

They would have had to give up their 2 best and make their farm the worst in baseball likely.
A guy who routinely puts up .750 OPSs playing for the Rockies. The Yanks may well have downgraded. Remember what happened when we got Jeff Cirillo to play third base?
Yes, but the Yankees remember what happened with DJ LaMahieu. Not saying they think he will be like DJ but they are not as fearful as us Cirillo haters.

Geno. Geno. Geno.

I think Naylor gives them a chance to go all the way. But, if they can add Geno on top that would be huge.

When was the last time that the M's could grab a player of Geno's calibre and give themselves a probable ticket to the playoffs? Unfortunately now the Asstros are reeling so getting Suarez and keeping him from the Stros is a fairly high priority. Do two well placed prospects keep us from getting to the playoffs? Are those two prospects a certainty to be major cogs in a future World Series? Don't we have a few more highly rated prospects that we can give up two for Suarez? This whole thing is ridiculous. Go get Geno, damnit!

I just don't have much respect for Tacoma numbers
I'm not sure how any prospect is going to overcome your lack of respect then.

How about his Arkansas numbers where he hit .291/.401/.532/.933 in what is supposedly a dystopian hell hole for hitters?

Bottom line is he's a career .895 OPS hitter in the minors. Not sure what else the kid is supposed to do.

He's reduced his K rates this year. Walks at a very good clip. Has added power since making adjustments in his setup.

If that hasn't earned him a look, idk what does.

Amazing what information we have now to measure players' swings and find ways to improve them. Back in the old days, if Lou Gehrig went into a slump Babe Ruth would just yell, "HIT THE BALL, YA BUM!"
:o

And now I would probably have him back in our top 10.

They can have Evans & Hancock. Outside of that I have no idea.

Refreshing to get a player (Naylor) that bats above .250.

If we are unable to get Geno.....what do you all think about Willi Castro?!?!?!

The dude can literally play anywhere.
Doesn't have a ton of power but hits decent for average and has some speed!
Would still be an upgrade over what we have.
Might make some noise in the playoffs.

Ben vs Willi.jpg
Would be a solid consolation prize for sure.

While the Yankees are now out of it, you are right about the Astros being in because Parades is going to miss significant time.
